“What is a goblin’s favorite cheese?”/“Monster-ella.”

“Mozzarella” cheese is sometimes jokingly called “monster-ella” or “monsterella.” A Halloween riddle was posted in Boys’ Life in September 2009:

Q: What is a goblin’s favorite cheese?
A: Monster-ella!

“Mozzarella is a cheese: we call it Monster-ella, just as Muenster is Monster cheese” was in the book Letters To Jenny (1993) by Piers Anthony. “What is Bigfoot’s favorite cheese? Monster-ella” was cited in a 2004 joke book.

Wikipedia: Mozzarella
Mozzarella (English /ˌmɒtsəˈrɛlə/; Italian: [mottsaˈrɛlla]) is a southern Italian cheese traditionally made from Italian buffalo milk by the pasta filata method. Mozzarella received a Traditional Specialities Guaranteed certification from the European Union in 1998. This protection scheme requires that mozzarella sold in the European Union is produced according to a traditional recipe. The TSG certification does not specify the source of the milk, so any type of milk can be used. In Italy mozzarella made with the milk of the Italian water buffalo is an important variety.
