MSDNC (MSNBC nickname)

The MSNBC network (headquartered in Rockefeller Center in Manhattan) has often been cited for liberal bias. The nickname “MSDNC” (MSNBC + DNC) is used by those who believe the network is an extension of the Democratic National Committee.
“MSDNC” was frequently used during the 2008 U.S. presidential election and has been used since at least 2005. Other MSNBC nicknames include “PMSNBC” (since at least July 1996), “MSNBS” (since October 1996), “MessNBC” (since March 2002),  “MSLSD” (since September 2005), “MSLGBT” (since October 2008), “Moonbats Spouting Nothing But Crap” (since January 2010), “MSNBC-Pravda” (since August 2010), “More Stupid Nonsense Bull Crap” (since April 2013) and “MSNPC” (since June 2013).
The more conservative Fox News Channel has nicknames that include “Faux News” (since March 2001), “Fux News” (since July 2001), “Fox Spews”/“Faux Spews” (since November 2001), “Foxaganda” (since October 2003), “Fox Noise”/“Faux Noise” (since August 2004), “Fake News” (since September 2004), “Fixed News” (since October 2004), “Fox Comedy” (since December 2005), “Full Of Xenophobia” (since March 2007), “Fixed Noise” (since August 2007) and “FoxPAC” (since September 2009).
Wikipedia: MSNBC
MSNBC is a cable news channel based in the United States and available in both the US and Canada. Its name is a combination of “Microsoft” and “NBC”.
Msnbc.com, a separate company, is the news website for the NBC News family, featuring interactivity and multimedia plus original stories and video which augment the content from NBC News and partners.
Two partnerships with the names MSNBC and msnbc.com were founded in 1996 by Microsoft and General Electric’s NBC unit, which is now NBC Universal. Although Microsoft and NBC shared operations of MSNBC cable at its founding, it was announced on December 23, 2005, that NBC Universal would purchase a majority stake in the television network, which left Microsoft with 18%. The two companies remain partners in msnbc.com. MSNBC shares the NBC logo of a rainbow peacock with its sister channels NBC, CNBC and ShopNBC. MSNBC is available in over 78 million households in the United States; and between June 2008 and May 2009, msnbc.com had the most unique visitors among global news and current events websites.
Accusations of liberal bias
Many have described MSNBC as having a bias towards the political left or Democratic Party. In November 2007, a New York Times article stated that MSNBC’s prime-time lineup is tilting more to the left. Washington Post media analyst Howard Kurtz has stated that the network’s evening lineup “has clearly gravitated to the left in recent years and often seems to regard itself as the antithesis of Fox News.” In reference to the channel’s evening programming, senior vice president of NBC News Phil Griffin has said that “It happened naturally. There isn’t a dogma we’re putting through. There is a ‘Go for it.’”
In the February 2008 issue of Men’s Journal magazine, a MSNBC interviewee quoted a senior executive who said that commentator Keith Olbermann “runs MSNBC” and that “because of his success, he’s in charge” of the network. The New York Times has called Olbermann the network’s “most recognizable face”. In September 2008, MSNBC stated that they were removing both Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews as live political event anchors, and replacing them with David Gregory, due to growing criticism that they were “too opinionated to be seen as neutral in the heat of the presidential campaign.” However, Olbermann continued to broadcast Countdown both before and after the presidential and vice-presidential debates, and both Matthews and Olbermann joined Gregory on the network’s election night coverage. In September 2009, a Pew Research Poll showed that Democrats were much more likely than Republicans to rate the network favorably and Republicans were much more likely than Democrats to see MSNBC unfavorably.
Wikipedia: Democratic National Committee
The Democratic National Committee (DNC) is the principal organization governing the United States Democratic Party on a day to day basis. While it is responsible for overseeing the process of writing a platform every four years, the DNC’s central focus is on campaign and political activity in support of Democratic Party candidates, and not on public policy. The DNC was established at the 1848 Democratic National Convention.
The Democratic National Committee provides national leadership for the Democratic Party of the United States. It is responsible for promoting the Democratic political platform, as well as coordinating fundraising and election strategy. Shortly after his inauguration, Barack Obama transferred his Obama For America organization to the DNC, along with its 13 million person email list, as restrictions prevented him from taking it with him to the White House. Renamed Organizing For America, the organization also controls the BarackObama.com domain and website and is expected to work closely with Obama’s New Media Director Macon Phillips, who will manage the WhiteHouse.gov - formerly Change.gov - website, though Phillips’ duties technically fall under the White House umbrella, not the DNC.

A more honest name for the network would be MSDNC.

Now more appropriately called   MSDNC!
Gee, the only time the Clinton News Network quotes Focus on the Family is to peddle either a crazy christian story or try to put a republican a spot. I wonder why ? I dont recall Bill or Hillary getting asked about Chelsea drunken binges in LOndon but Bush daughter order drinks and its on ,ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, and MSDNC for days ! Wolf is a rather dim liberal that has a show nobody watches. Things are not looking good for the this media division of the DNC since MSDNC actual beat CNN is the state of the union but neither broke 800,000 viewers . Desperate Wolf was baiting Cheney in order to get a scandal that would bring back the lefties moonbats that now watch MSDNC. I guess CNN may try to go back to peddling terrrorist pr videos showing out troops getting killed by a sniper .Whats a leftist network to do ?

Howard Dean to Guest Anchor MSNBC’s ‘Countdown’
By Felix Gillette
July 27, 2009 | 12:00 p.m
Seeing Mr. Dean, the former head of the Democratic National Committee, anchoring an MSNBC show will no doubt inspire additional teeth-gnashing from conservative critics, who since the 2008 presidential campaign have taken to calling the cable news network MS-DNC.
