“Molasses—what do they do with the rest of the mole?”

“Molasses” doesn’t have anything to do with “mole asses,” but many people wonder what they do with the rest of the mole. The “molasses” joke has been printed on many images.

“Molasses…what did they do with the rest of the mole?” was posted on Twitter by Sarah Miller on November 10, 2011. “Seen on FB: After they get molasses, what do they do with the rest of the mole?” was posted on Twitter by Demontitang Aczar of Manila on August 2, 2012. “I was looking at a jar of molasses and wondered to myself: what do they do with the rest of the mole?” was posted on Reddit—Oneliners on February 20, 2021.

“What do you call a bunch of bad chemistry students?”/“Molasses” and “What do you call 6.02 * 10^23 butts?”/“Molasses” are related jokes.

Wikipedia: Molasses
Molasses (/məˈlæsɪz, moʊ-/) or black treacle (British English) is a viscous product resulting from refining sugarcane or sugar beets into sugar. Molasses varies by the amount of sugar, method of extraction, and age of plant. Sugarcane molasses is primarily used for sweetening and flavoring foods in the United States, Canada, and elsewhere. Molasses is a defining component of fine commercial brown sugar.
