The pun is that a fisherman’s “networking” also involves working with nets. The joke was posted on Reddit—Dadjokes on June 16, 2022. “‘So youre a fisherman, huh? How do you get a job in that field?’ -Networking” had been posted on Twitter by Duke Max “Carnival Lawyer” Ash on November 19, 2015.
