Environazi (environment + Nazi)

Am “environazi” or"enviro-Nazi” (environment + Nazi) is someone who forces radical environmental beliefs upon others. An “environazI” can be an environmental activist or can be an official carrying out the environmental policy of a government agency (such as the Environmental Protection Agency). The term “environazi” has been cited in print since at least April 1990 and might have been coined or popularized by conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh (who popularized the term “feminazi”) or economist and syndicated columnist Walter E. Williams.
Other terms for an extreme enviromental activist include “tree-hugger,” “greeniac,” “enviromarxist,” “enviroweenie,” “envirotard,” “ecotard” and “climatard.”
Wiktionary: environazi
(plural environazis)
1.(pejorative) environmentalist, usually with extremist views
Urban Dictionary
n. an environmentalist who is so anal over the cause that he or she feels it it entirely ok to trample on the rights of others to enforce his beliefs.
Most of these morons are ultra-left liberal flakes with no career ambitions or direction, but still need to find ways to keep others down in a futile attempt to elevate themselves. Many are also PETA members and all have socialist agendas.

As for radioactive waste, the problem is simpler than most believe, but companies like Westinghouse and bureaucracies like the Energy department and certain environazis have a vested interest in making it look hard.

I don’t think that Hussein is insane, or mad, but I haven’t had much difficulty believing that he has no conscience as we would recognize it. Releasing oil is one of his less atrocious acts.  And it does make a certain amount of sense - stirs up protest against the war from the EnviroNazis (distinct group from those who are rationally environmentally concerned), increases the preceived costs of continueing the war.

But since the enviro-nazis have succeeded in taxing R-11 using the fraudulent ozone layer argument, most people have gone to 1,1,1 Tricloroethane (“Trike”).

But it’s the same consumers cum environazis who bemoan the complexity and expense of modern cars out of one side of their mouths while demanding sterile exhaust and federally mandated 100 mpg from the other.

By Robert B. Reich

Environmental wackos, tree huggers, environazis. These are applied to anyone who expresses concern about the cleanliness of air and water, and a willingness to sacrifice some economic growth in order to improve their quality.

One of the most embarrassing environmental facts of the 1930s was that between 60% and 70% of the German greens were Nazi Party members, compared to only 10% of the population at large. In fact, German greens outperformed even medical doctors and teachers, with Nazi foresters and veterinarians leading the charge. Somehow, the so-called independent German wandervogels (German word for “wandering free spirits”) found themselves at the footstool of Der F├╝hrer. Their wandervogel attitudes about civilization and the wild forestlands found a political niche in the isolationist biology of the Nazi Party. Furthermore, their strong beliefs in holism found a political voice in the totalitarian Social Darwinism of the Nazis, which was largely rooted in Ernst’s Haeckel’s ecology of the 1800s ...
