Eggnogstic (eggnog + agnostic)

“Eggnogstic” (eggnog + agnostic) is a jocular term that has been cited in print since at least 1885. Various definitions have been given.
“If I don’t like egg nog, does that make me an eggnogstic?” was posted on Twitter on December 16, 2008. “I don’t celebrate Christmas, but I do enjoy the festive drinks. You could say I’m eggnogstic” was printed in The Globe and Mail (Toronto, ON) on December 19, 2008.
“I’m not sure I believe in Xmas parties. I remain eggnogstic” was posted on Twitter on December 24, 2012.
“I’m an atheist 11 months out of the year, but in December I’m eggnogstic” is another “eggnogstic” joke.
Wikipedia: Eggnog
Eggnog /ˈɛɡˌnɒɡ/ (“egg nog’” or “egg-nog”), historically also known (when alcoholic beverages are added) as milk punch or egg milk punch, is a rich, chilled, sweetened, creamy dairy-based beverage traditionally made with milk, cream, sugar, whipped egg whites and egg yolks (which gives it a frothy texture, and its name) and, in some contexts, distilled spirits such as brandy, rum or bourbon.
Wikipedia: Agnosticism
Agnosticism is the view that the existence of God, of the divine or the supernatural is unknown or unknowable.
8 February 1885, Buffalo (NY) Express, pg. 4, col. 4:
“Do you know I’ve been told that you had become a confirmed eggnogstic!”
25 December 1904, The Daily Missoulian (Missoula, MT), pg. 4, col. 3:
Agnosticism is on the decline. Owing to the high price of eggs there are not so many eggnogstics as there were last year.

If their years of drunken rants are any indication, much more eggnogstic than agnostic.
18 December 2002, Philadelphia (PA) Daily News, “On the lamb, he gets arrested,” pg. 10:
A big difference between Clark and Mark is that Mark spends a lot of his energy on the religious aspect of the holiday. He has “Praise God” and “Remember Jesus” in lots of lights on his roof.
Clark, we think, was eggnogstic.

Someone who is not sure of their opinion of the beverage eggnog. Eggnostics are still awaiting further evidence for the deliciousness of eggnog, or believe that it cannot be known for sure whether eggnog is a good drink.
Daniel was once a pious lover of eggnog, but ever since reading “The Nog Delusion,” he considers himself an eggnostic.

A mixed drink that combines Bailey’s, vanilla vodka & eggnog. Similar to a White Russian. Best when served over ice.
I was gonna make White Russians but I ran out of milk. Luckily, I had some eggnog and was able to make Eggnogstics.

Does that make him eggnog-stic?
Nope. Eggnostic would mean he doesn’t know whether to believe in Santa or not.
eggnostic = believes there is no way to know for sure whether there is an egg or not
