“Drop acid, not bombs”

“Drop acid, not bombs” is an anti-war saying that has been printed on many images.
 
“Drop Acid Not Bombs” was printed in the Fresno (CA) Bee on July 16, 1967. “Drop acid, not bombs” was printed in the Alamogordo (NM) Daily News on October 22, 1967. “Drop acid, not bombs” was printed in the Tucson (AZ) Daily Citizen on November 2, 1968. It’s not known who originated the saying.
   
“Drop taxes, not bombs” is a related saying.
