“A dangling participle walks into a bar…” (bar joke)

“A guy walks into a bar…” is a typical form of what has been called the “bar joke.” A dangling participle vesion is:
 
“A dangling participle walks into a bar. Enjoying a cocktail and chatting with the bartender, the evening passes pleasantly.”
   
The dangling participle joke was posted on Language Matters on September 20, 2014. (This date may be incorrect.) The joke became popular in February 2018.
 
“A dangling modifier walks into a bar. After finishing a drink, the bartender asks it to leave” is a similar type of joke.
