“Fedapalooza” or “fed-a-palooza” (Federal Reserve + lollapalooza) is a term used for when the Federal Reserve (or just comments from its chairman) announces its policy on subjects such as interest rates and quantitative easing. “Fed-a-palooza” has been cited in print since at least June 2006 and “Fedapalooza” since September 2007.
 
The term was popularized in April 2011, when The Blaze published “Ben Bernanke to Make History Tomorrow With ‘Fedapalooza’ Spectacle” on April 26th and Business Insider published “Presenting: Your Fedapalooza Survival Kit” on April 27th.
