Texas Island Dressing

Thousand Islands Dressing is a famous salad dressing that contains mayonnaise, ketchup, and a mixture of chopped vegetables. Texas Island Dressing adds Pace Picante Sauce. The same recipe (perhaps popularized by Pace) appears on many websites.

Thousand Island dressing is a variety of salad dressing commonly made of mayonnaise, ketchup, and a mixture of finely chopped vegetables, most often pickles, onions, bell peppers, and/or green olives; chopped hard-boiled egg is also common.

Texas Island Dressing Recipe
Recipe Ingredients:
1 c Mayonnaise
OR
1 c Light mayonnaise
1/2 c Pace Picante Sauce
1/4 c Tomato paste
2 tb Sweet pickle relish
1 tb Sugar
 
Recipe Instructions:
Combine ingredients; mix well.
Chill.
Toss with green salads or seafood salads.
Makes 1-3/4 cups.
