“The easiest way to find something lost around the house is to buy a replacement” is a jocular saying that has been printed on several images. San Francisco (CA) Examiner and Chronicle “My Town” columnist Jack Rosenbaum wrote the line on October 13, 1974.
The saying has sometimes been called “Rosenbaum’s Rule.”
