“Three main rules of American engineering: (1) Always use the right tool for the job…”

Three rules were posted on Twitter by Soumen Bhattachaya on May 20, 2010:

“Mechanic’s 3 rules:
1-Always use the right tool for the job.
2-A hammer is the right tool for any job.
3-Anything can be used as a hammer.”

Authorship of these “three rules” (sometimes called “The three laws of American Engineering”) is unknown.
