“What’s the difference between a golf ball and an electric car?”/“A ball can be driven 300 yards.”

A joke about an electric car (or just a poor car brand) is:

Q: What’s the difference between a golf ball and an electric car?
A: A golf ball can be driven more than 300 yards.

The joke has been cited in print since at least 2005. In November 2009, the joke had a variation involving golfer Tiger Woods, who had an accident driving a Cadillac Escalade SUV.

Wikipedia: Tiger Woods
Eldrick Tont “Tiger” Woods (born December 30, 1975) is an American professional golfer who is among the most successful golfers of all time. He has been one of the highest-paid athletes in the world for several years.

On November 25, 2009, he National Enquirer published a story claiming that Woods had an extramarital affair with New York City nightclub manager Rachel Uchitel, a claim she denied. Two days later, around 2:30 a.m. on November 27, Woods left home in his Cadillac Escalade SUV and, while still on his street, collided with a fire hydrant, a tree, and several hedges.

21 July 2009, Daily Mail (London, UK), “Battery Power to the People”” by Gavin Madely, pg. 13:
WHAT’S the difference between a golf ball and an electric car? You can drive a golf ball at least 200 yards. It is, admittedly, an old joke but one that will resonate with the majority of motorists for whom the Sinclair C5 was the acme of electric car design.
