“What do you call a chicken crossing the road?”/“Poultry in motion.”

“Why did the chicken cross the road?”/“To get to the other side” is a classic riddle from the 19th century. One version is:
 
Q: What do you call a chicken crossing the road?
A: Poultry in motion.
 
“Poultry in motion” is a pun on “poetry in motion.” “What do you call a chicken crossing the road? ... Poultry in motion” was posted on the newsgroup microsoft.public.inetexplorer.ie4.outlookexpress.stationery on August 23, 1998. The joke has been printed on many images.
