A driving-under-the-influence (DUI) joke has been printed on many images.
 
“OK.. word to the wise… when officer pulls you over and asks ‘You drinking?’.... dont answer back by asking ‘Why… you buying?’” was posted on X/Twitter by Here’s the Scoop on May 27, 2010. “The officer said, ‘You drinking?’ I said, ‘You buying?’ We just laughed and laughed. I need bail money” (shown on an ecard by RotteneCards) was posted on X/Twitter by WiscoGirlProblems on September 25, 2013. The officer’s “You drinking?” meant “Have you been drinking?” It was not an offer for drinking.

A guy’s driving down the road when he looks in the rear view mirror
and sees a cop car following him.
The cop turns on the lights and siren, so the guy pulls over.
 
The cop walks up to the stopped car, looks at the driver and asks:
“You drinking?”
 
The driver looks at the cop and ask:
“You buying?”
