“Renting an Airbnb is like staying at a hotel, but with chores”

Airbnb owners often require renters to perform choirs such as taking out the trash, or cleaning dishes, or stripping the beds. In 2026, Airbnb attempted to reduce some of these required chores, after many Airbnb customers said that they would stay at a hotel the next time.
