Susie Says Can you have a bed and breakfast across from the Waldorf-Astoria? Roger Smith's 'creative strategist' James Knowles thinks you can. This is quite large for a B&B, so we'd rather call it a Euro-style boutique hotel. Knowles calls it "a thinking man's hotel that evolves as a work in progress." Hmmm. Call it what you will, this refurbished 1929 hotel, which uses the slogan "Positive, Open, Friendly," delivers eclectically-designed contemporary American accommodations amid the skyscraper-hustle of Midtown.
