“I brake for coffee” (bumper sticker)

“I brake for coffee” is a jocular bumper sticker saying that has been printed on many images. It’s a joke on the “coffee break.”
 
“Bumper Sticker: ‘I break for coffee’” was printed in the Wichita (KS) Beacon on March 14, 1980. “I brake for coffee” (a bumper sticker saying) was printed in the Sunday Patriot-News (Harrisburg, PA) on June 27, 1982.
 
“I break for coffee” is a related saying.
