“Everyone knows Santa isn’t real. Whoever heard of a man who makes a list AND checks it twice?”
The Christmas song “Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town” (1934) contains the lyrics:
“He’s making a list
And checking it twice;
He’s gonna find out who’s naughty and nice
Santa Claus is comin’ to town.”
