Summary
Over 250,000 people are expected to attend the 9th annual d.u.m.b.o. art under the bridge festival from Friday, October 14 through Sunday, October 16, 2005. The Festival spans over 30 blocks in the Brroklyn neighborhood known as D.U.M.B.O. - the acronym for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass. Produced by the d.u.m.b.o. arts center (dac), approximately 1,500 established and emerging artists will participate in the largest free-arts street festival in the nation.

The public will encounter unique art projects that transform and reconsider D.U.M.B.O.'s ever-expanding residential, commercial and arts community. Art and sound installations, nighttime projections, performance, and exhibitions abound. On walls, in the streets, in galleries, in lobbies, at the parks, and even on the East River, expect to find art in unusual places. Open studious, Exhibitions, video_dumbo, Art on Board, Project Glow, d.u.m.b.o. dance, an Artists Talk, a Critics Forum, parties, and live music combine to make this festival one of the most memorable events of the year.
