The borough of Staten Island has long had a large Italian-American population. “Staten Italy,” however, is a recent nickname for the borough.

Thanks so much for the kind words and pep talk. Definitely put a smile on my face. I think you’ll find that when you move to the Island you certainly won’t be in Kansas anymore! Hopefully you’ll find your niche here, although adjustment may be some work, and may take some time. Good luck.
