“If you rarely drive on snow, just pretend you’re taking your grandma to church…”

Southerners don’t like to drive in the snow. A tip was posted on Twitter by Chad Sullivan on January 15, 2018, and this was later posted on the 6 a.m. newscast weather report of WBTV, the CBS affiliate in Charlotte, North Carolina:

“If you rarely drive on snow, just pretend you’re taking your grandma to church.  There’s a platter of biscuits and 2 gallons of sweet tea in glass jars in the back seat.  She’s wearing a new dress and holding a crock pot full of gravy.”

To my friends having to drive in the snow, just pretend you are taking your grandma to church. She is sitting in the back seat next to a plate of biscuits, two gallons of sweet tea in glass jars, and she is wearing a new outfit while holding a crockpot full of gravy. #JustHereToHelp

I rarely drive in snow, so I just pretend I’m driving my grandma to church. There are 2 gallons of iced tea and 2 platters of biscuits in my back seat. She is wearing a new dress and holding a crockpot full of gravy! Southern seriousness y’all! Don’t you dare spill a lick!
