“If it fits in a toaster I can cook it” was posted on Twitter by heather gilmore on July 15, 2008. “‘If it fits in a toaster, I can cook it,’ one man said on a recent morning, reading the words off an $8 kitchen towel to the delight of his female companions” was printed in The Journal News (White Plains, NY) on August 25, 2008. The saying probably originated on a gift item such as this kitchen towel.
