“Vote blue, no matter who”

The race for the 2016 Democratic presidential nomination provided a choice between Hillary Clinton (the establishment candidate) and Bernie Sanders (the anti-establishment candidate). Many Sanders supporters vowed never to vote for the establishment candidate, so some Democrats came up with “Vote blue, no matter who” to unite the party. This means that any blue (any Democrat) is better than any red (any Republican).
“Once a week I will say: VOTE BLUE no matter WHO!” was tweeted by Sue in Rockville on June 1, 2015, who then tweeted “#VoteBlueNoMatterWho” on June 3, 2015.

Will we get fooled again?
By Tony Corvo
I’ve seen Democrat posts on social media that say something like, “Vote Blue, No Matter Who.” A somewhat silly call to arms, made to look like the Democrat Party is in complete harmony. But if my Democrat friends are giddy over what seems like a GOP in disarray, they shouldn’t be. This is not a weakness.

Yes, I’m ‘Voting Blue No Matter Who’—and here’s why

It’s simple.
On a humanitarian level, most Democratic lawmakers on their worst days, far exceed most Republican lawmakers on their best days. Even if I don’t care for the Democratic candidate who becomes the party’s nominee, even if I can’t stand the sound of that person’s voice — I refuse to give my vote, by default, to the Republican Party.

I’m not going to encourage anyone to “Vote Blue no matter who” anymore
March 18, 2016 James Schlarmann
Some will lecture you, browbeat you, and try to extort and emotionally blackmail you into “voting blue no matter who.” I can’t help but feel like a finger-wagging dad when I do so. And frankly, there are valid, good reasons to teach both major political parties a lesson. This idiocy with superdelegates, for instance, is just a naked and transparent way for the Democratic machine to ignore their voters if they want to. That’s not only antithetical to what Democrats espouse, it’s antithetical to what Americans believe about voting.

MSNBC Touts Liberal Actor Pleading: ‘Vote Blue, No Matter Who’

This morning on MSNBC Live, host Steve Kornacki had liberal actor turned activist George Takei on as a guest. Gone are the days where Star Trek fans remember George Takei as their beloved Mr. Sulu. Now, he has coined the phrase #VoteBlueNoMatterWho, and is encouraging Democrats around the country, specifically Californians, to keep their eye on the prize and get behind Hillary Clinton.
