Veducation (vegetables + education)

“Veducation” (vegetables + education) means to educate someone to eat more vegetables. “You mean Baby Carrot and Broccoli School of Veducation?” was cited on Twitter on November 12, 2010. “Veducation” was used in the title of a newspaper article in 2011.
“Vegucation” (vegan/vegetarian + education) is a similar term.

An apple for the teacher? Great. How about for all the students too? And maybe carrots, sweet peppers, blueberries and tomatoes as well.

Kindergartners get “veducation” at local produce farm

Merillan, WI (WEAU) - “Eat your vegetables!” A common phrase said at the dinner table when sitting down to eat with your kids. But how do you make those veggies more appetizing?
The J & A Produce CSA in Merillan, Wisconsin near Black River Falls had their 2nd annual Youth Day on the farm.
150 kindergartners from Forest Street Elementary School visited a series of 8 different stations to learn more about produce farming.
With a little ‘veducation’ kids we’re also eager to get their face painted with a watermelon, flower, worm or other fun options.

Athens area “veducators” step up to the plate with locally-grown health initiatives
By ALLYN RIPPIN .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) – updated Wednesday, July 29, 2015 - 6:17am
As a kid, nutrition advice came from mom: “Eat your vegetables.”
Today, nutrition education is taking center stage at both the local and national level. School cafeterias across the country, including Georgia, are getting salad bars. Hospitals are putting local produce on the menu for patients. It’s all part of an exciting new wave of “veducation” that seeks to improve the wellbeing of our communities through innovative health initiatives.
In Athens, a growing army of “veducators” are planting these seeds of change.
