Communist Core (Communist + Common Core)

The Common Core State Standards Initiative (or “Common Core”) is an educational program to teach common standards in United States schools. Critics have claimed that it teaches students to take standardized tests and is government education at its worst, promoting the power of the state much like Communist China. “Common Core” has been dubbed “Communist Core” (Communist + Common Core) since at least April 2012.
Wikipedia: Common Core State Standards Initiative
The Common Core State Standards Initiative is an educational initiative in the United States that details what K-12 students should know in English language arts and mathematics at the end of each grade. The initiative is sponsored by the National Governors Association (NGA) and the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO) and seeks to establish consistent educational standards across the states as well as ensure that students graduating from high school are prepared to enter credit-bearing courses at two- or four-year college programs or to enter the workforce.

SALT LAKE CITY — Criticism of the Common Core State Standards is intensifying as Utah’s election season progresses.
Dickson said officials focus on the standards because that is, in essence, what the Common Core State Standards are. She said the peripheral discussions of socialism — she’s heard the standards referred to by opponents as the “Communist” Core — and federal manipulation is little more than political fodder in a campaign season.

Perhaps then I’ve been correct when I jokingly called it the “Communist Core”?

Common Core lacks a 4 letter modification for clearer explanation. Communist Core is the end goal of this indoctrination not education.

Everything taught will have to get the stamp of approval from the Communist Core, uh, Common Core-o-crats made up of various people who have already screwed up education in their own states.

The national news media haven’t discovered it, but the issue that is bringing out hundreds of citizens who never before attended political meetings is Common Core (CC). More precisely, it is the attempt of Barack Obama’s Department of Education to force all states and schools to adopt specified national education standards for each grade level that will dictate what all kids learn and don’t learn.
Common Core means federal control of school curriculum, i.e., control by Obama administration left-wing bureaucrats. Federal control will replace all curriculum decisions by state and local school boards, state legislatures, parents and even Congress because Obama bypassed Congress by using $4 billion of Stimulus money to promote Common Core.

There will be NO choice if the Governor’s corporatist/Heritage/Obama/CFR agenda is allowed to be implemented. All schools will be required to teach to the Communist Core, and true private education will be dead.
I cannot bear a full year of “Communist Core” conspiracy theory crackpots giving media easy ammo to make us seem anti-education.

“Communist Core”: Immigrant Mom Sees Shocking Parallels Between Chinese And U.S. Education
“Is this what we want in America?”
A concerned mother who immigrated to America from China spoke out against the federal Common Core standards being implemented in schools across the nation. During a recent meeting of the Colorado State Board of Education, Lily Tang Williams cited the troubling similarities she sees between the leftist-supported curriculum and the communist system under which she was educated.
“I do not buy into Common Core,” she asserted. “I’m here to oppose that strongly.”
Williams affirmed that, under the Chinese form of education, students “are not trained to be independent thinkers,” but are instead shaped into useful tools for the government.
