“Happy as a witch in a broom factory” (“Happier than a witch in a broom factory”)

Witches, according to legend, fly on broomsticks. “Happy as a witch in a broom factory” (or “Happier than a witch in a broom factory”) is a saying that has been printed on many images. “Busier than a witch in a broom factory” was printed in the St. Louis (MO) Post-Dispatch on July 27, 1944.
 
A GEICO television commercial in September 2012 stated that its customers were “happier than a witch in a broom factory.” “Happy as a witch in a broom factory” was posted on Twitter by Phil Mayfield on October 4, 2012.
