“Did you eat the leftovers I was saving in the fridge?”
“Of course not…....... I ate them in the living room.”

“My wife asked me, ‘Did you eat my chocolate in the cupboard?’ ‘No, don’t be silly,’ I replied. ‘I ate it on the sofa’” and “My wife asked me if I ate the ice cream she had in the freezer? I told her no. I ate it on the couch” are similar jokes.
