“Better six feet away than six feet under” (social distancing)
The 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic resulted in social distancing requirements that people should be six feet apart from one another.
“Better six feet apart than six feet under” was posted on Twitter by DBarenholtz on March 10, 2020. “Better 6 feet apart Than 6 feet under!” was posted on Twitter by (((Pat O’Leary))) on March 15, 2020. “Six feet under” means that one is dead (six feet under the ground). The saying has been printed on several images.
“Better to be 6 feet away than 6 feet under” was posted on Twitter by David on March 12, 2020. “Better 6 feet away than 6 feet under…” was posted on Twitter by Claude Falardeau on March 17, 2020. “Social Distancing - better six feet away than six feet under!” was posted on Twitter by Jack Urowitz later on March 17, 2020.
“Why’s a graveyard the safest place in quarantine?”/“Everybody’s 6 feet away” is another “graveyard—six feet under” saying.

Many people survive the virus, but more have died in a few months from it than died in the Vietnam War. Some people are mildly affected while others die from it. Who is willing to take that chance? How many of those who think the virus is a hoax is willing to refuse medical care should they contact the virus? Personally, I prefer to wear a mask and be six feet apart, than six feet under.
