“You’re never too old to learn something stupid”
“You’re never too old to learn something stupid” is a jocular one-line saying that has been printed on many images. Brooklyn humorist Sam Levenson (1911-1980) used the line since at least 1976 and printed it in his book, You Don’t Have to Be in Who’s Who to Know What’s What (1979).

There is what is known as Wisdom Literature of the most serious nature in every culture. There is also a Wisdom Literature that treats wisdom with wit:
“Who is wise?” asks the wise man, and being wise he answers it himself. “He is wise, indeed, who knows that you’re never too old to learn something stupid.”
