“You’re never more than two weeks away from a drought”

“You’re never more than two weeks away from a drought” is an adage used in many parts of the United States. “We are never more than two weeks away from a drought in this area (South Dakota—ed.)” was cited in print in 1986. “Remember, we (Texas—ed.) are always two weeks away from a drought” was cited in 1987.

“In New Jersey you’re always 10 days to two weeks away from a drought” was cited in 2014.
