“You don’t get paid by how hard you work. You get paid by how hard you are to replace”

“You aren’t paid according to how hard you work. You are paid according to how hard you are to replace” is a saying that has been printed on many images. Many people can work hard, but some people have skills that make them harder to replace than other workers.

You don’t get paid more for how hard you work. You get paid more for how
hard you are to replace. If you want to be hard to replace then you need to
get an education and make good use of it. Of course if your skill set
doesn’t offer anything valuable or unique, then this sucks. Doesn’t it?
Better to be a Communist in that case.

It’s called getting an education. You don’t get paid well for how hard you
work, but for how hard you are to replace.
