I went to the pool, and I grabbed a life preserver ring. I put around my head, and I got on the rowing machine next to her” was posted on Facebook by Richard J Peine on January 1, 2023. “I saw a lady at the gym on the exercise bike, wearing a helmet.. So l put on a life jacket and got on the rowing machine next to her” was posted on Facebook by Larry Hill on January 10, 2025. The joke went viral in January 2025.
