“Would you like some cheese with that whine?”
Wine and cheese is a popular combination. “Would you like some cheese with that whine?” is a joke saying that dates in print to at least 1991. The saying was made popular in the early 1990s by whining (but well-paid) professional athletes.

To paraphrase columnist Mike Lopresti, it is a measure of how far the Bulls (and their fans) have sunk, that they have gone from whining about Bill Lambier/Rick Mahorn/Dennis Rodman to whining about a 6’2” reserve guard.
