“Why isn’t holy water used in vaccines?”/“Because you can’t take the lord’s name in vein.”

The COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic resulted in new vaccines. A joke was posted on Reddit—Dadjokes on July 22, 2021:

Q: Why isn’t holy water used in vaccines?
A: Because you can’t take the lord’s name in vein.

“Vein” is a pun on “vain.”
