“Why do police drive around looking for crime?”

Police cars drive around the neighborhood, but fire trucks usually do not.

How come police drive around looking for crime but firefighters wait in the station till someone calls 911. Maybe the little piggies should stay in the pig pen till we call for them. After all we do pay their salaries.🤔

Firetrucks don’t drive around the neighborhood looking for fires. EMTs don’t drive ambulances around looking for sick people. Why do police drive around looking for “crime?”
