“Why did the cannibal leave the restaurant?”/“Because he got cold feet”

To “get cold feet” means to be nervous or anxious about an upcoming event. The expression has been used in several cannibal jokes. “When my mate Barry was invited to a cannibal restaurant he got cold feet; so he sent them back” was posted on Twitter on June 29, 2012.
   
A joke was posted on Reddit—Jokes on December 7, 2016:
   
Q: Why did the cannibal leave the restaurant?
A: Because he got cold feet.
