“Assassinate” shouldn’t be confused with “assassin ate,” but there are jokes. “A murderer had heartburn because of something the assassinate. (Pun of the Day)” was posted on the newsgroup alt.humor.puns on February 15, 2002. The joke originated on the website Pun of the Day.
