“We’re going to turn this team around 360 degrees”
Basketball player Jason Kidd of the University of California was taken second by the Dallas Mavericks at the NBA draft on June 29, 1994. Kidd is reported to have said:
“Now that I’m here, we’ll turn this program around 360 degrees.”
Of course, that would turn something around full circle and back in the same place. “We’re going to turn this team about 360 degrees” is a popular form of the quote.

How about the quote by the new brain-trust in Dallas (Jason “Hit-and-Run-Drunken-Ass-hole” Kidd) seen in SI last week about how it looks at Dallas this season, “With me on the team, I’ll change the program 360 degrees.” Can you say dope. Good thing he left Cal early, because he would have never been able to figure out where to stand at graduation. How did he ever pass the SAT/ACT’s?

a lot of good stuff.
Remember, when Jason Kidd got to Dallas, he told a reporter that he wanted “to turn this team around 360 degrees.”
As stupid as that sounded at the time, it looks like it wasn’t just a slip of the tongue. He really has done it. And I won’t give him all the credit for the upturn last year. And I won’t give him all the credit for the downturn this year.
