“We have beers as cold as your ex’s heart” (bar sign)

“We have beers as cold as your ex’s heart” is a jocular saying that has been printed on many bar signs. It’s not known what bar first posted this type of sign. The novel Phantom Train (2007) by Alexander Butziger contains the line:

“Above the huge mirror behind the bar, a neon sign claimed: ‘Our beer is as cold as your ex.’”

“Just spotted - ad on a bus for an american bar: ‘Our beers are as cold as your ex-wife’” was posted on Twitter on September 27, 2010.
