“Twitter the only place where well articulated sentences still get misinterpreted. You can say ‘I like pancakes’...”
A social media meme is where one person says, “I like X,” and another replies, “So why do you hate Y?” Colee Bravo (@BravoCoolee), an account no longer on X/Twitter, stated the argument using pancakes and waffles, in two slightly different 2017 tweets.
“RT @CooleeBravo: Man : ‘I like pancakes’ Woman : ‘So basically you hate waffles’ Who said dat. How u ... http://tmi.me/1fhejQ” was posted on X/Twitter by Tahir on January 2, 2017:

It’s like those “I like pancakes” “so you hate waffles?” arguments. The absence of one, to them, means you don’t like it.

this rings so true! and may i add, it just feels like most internet spaces have worsened it to the extreme. it’s like that meme that goes around “on twitter you could say ‘i like pancakes’ and the next person will reply ‘oh so you hate waffles’”
