“Tradition is just peer pressure from dead people” is a jocular saying that has been printed on many images. “Aggieland take note. ‘@tcollen: OH: “Tradition is just peer pressure from dead people’” was posted on Twitter by Dy-lon the Cylon on October 5, 2014.
 
The saying wasn’t posted again on Twitter until it went viral in 2019, after “Most of tradition is just peer pressure from dead people” was posted on Reddit—Showerthoughts on February 9, 2019. “Tradition is just peer pressure from dead people called Ancestors” was posted on Twitter by Black Privledge on March 14, 2019.
