“This year for Halloween I’m dressing up as freedom. This seems to be what people are afraid of”

“This year for Halloween I’m dressing up as freedom. This seems to be what people are afraid of most” is a saying that has been printed on an image, along with a picture of comedian George Carlin (1937-2008).

“THIS YEAR FOR HALLOWEEN I’M DRESSING UP AS FREEDOM. THIS SEEMS TO BE WHAT PEOPLE ARE AFRAID OF MOST” (shown on an image, with George Carlin) was posted on Twitter by Wall Street Silver on October 29, 2022. Earlier citations haven’t been found, so George Carlin (who died in 2008) probably never said this.
