“The scrawny personal trainer had to give a too weak notice”

People who are dismissed from jobs are often given two weeks’ notice. Failed personal trainers might be given, according to the pun, a “too weak notice.” “Too weak notice” was cited on alt.humor.puns on December 29, 2009. “I recently had a job as a weight lifter… but had to put in my too weak notice”  was cited on Twitter on November 13, 2011.

A joke was posted on Reddit on April 7, 2016:

“I’m kinda scrawny, so I had to quit my job as a personal trainer. Yeah, I gave ‘em my too weak notice.”

It’s a little known fact, but you can cancel your gym membership without a penalty If you provide them with a too weak notice.

If you’re resigning as a gym instructor, you should give a too weak notice.
