“The positive thinker sees the invisible, feels the intangible, and achieves the impossible”

“The positive thinker sees the invisible, feels the intangible, and achieves the impossible” is a motivational saying that has been printed on many images. “Hope sees the invisible, feels the intangible and achieves the impossible” has been cited in print since at least 1980. “The positive thinker sees the invisible, feels the intangible and achieves the impossible” was posted on the newsgroup comp.os.ms-windows.win95.misc on November 3, 1995.

Authorship is unknown. British politician Winston Churchill (1874-1965) is often credited, but there is no evidence that he ever said it. “This sixth sense is as real and normal as the other five. It sees the invisible, feels the intangible, hears the inaudible” was printed in 1906, although this is not the same quote.

7 July 1906, The Epworth Herald, “The Sixth Sense” by the Rev. Luther Freeman,  pg. 146, col. 1:
Elihu claims to possess a sixth sense. This means that the normal man tins power to receive messages from the spiritual world. There Is a retina In the soul upon which “the light that never was, on sea or land” registers its pictures. This sixth sense is as real and normal as the other five. It sees the invisible, feels the intangible, hears the inaudible.
