“The only person who likes change is a baby with a wet diaper”

“The only person who likes change is a baby with a wet diaper” is a saying that his frequently used in politics and in business. The authorship is unknown. “The only person who doesn’t resist change is a baby with a wet diaper” was cited in print in 1967. The expression became frequently cited by the 1990s.
 
American author Mark Twain (1835-1910) is often credited with the saying, but he never said it.
 
   
8 May 1967, New Castle (PA) News, “Fox endorses amendments,” pg. 25, col. 8:
James Keenan, Allegheny County director of the Nine Yes Votes Committee, told those present that “the only person who doesn’t resist change is a baby with a wet diaper.”
