“The depressing thing about tennis is that I’ll never be as good as a wall”

“The depressing thing about tennis is that no matter how good I get, I’ll never be as good as a wall” is a joke from American stand-up comedian Mich Hedberg (1968-2005) that has been printed on many images. It’s not known when Hedberg first said this, but it was printed in a September 1998 newspaper.
