Scam messages used to promise you millions.
“You won the lottery.”
“Congratulations, you’ve been selected for a cash prize.”
Now the bait has changed completely.
“Remote job available, $17.50 an hour.”
That’s it. That’s the hook.
No fortune. No jackpot. Just a normal job at a normal wage, and somehow that’s what gets people to click.
Scammers don’t pick random bait.
They study what people are actually desperate for.
Right now, that’s not riches.
It’s just a job that pays a livable wage and lets you work from home.
Think about what that says about where things actually stand.
