“The best part about the penny being canceled is that nobody can give their 2 cents anymore”

Minting of the United States penny stopped in November 2025. This had an effect on the expression “my two cents” (my opinion).
 
“Nobody can give their 2 cents anymore because they stopped minting the penny! Give your 2 nickles!” was posted on X/Twitter by Charles Liming on November 15, 2025. “The best part about the penny being canceled is that nobody can give their 2 cents anymore 🤷🏻‍♂️👏🏻😆🤣” was posted on Facebook by Brown Pride Vida on November 21, 2025, and this received over 3,700 shares.
