Wikipedia: Charlie Strong
Charles R. Strong (born August 2, 1960) is currently an American football head coach for the University of Texas Longhorns. Strong is a graduate of the University of Central Arkansas, where he was a football player from 1980-1983. Strong held numerous assistant coaching jobs before becoming the head coach of the Louisville Cardinals in 2010. During his four year stint, he led the Cardinals to a 37–15 record, ending each season with a bowl game. On January 5, 2014, Louisville Athletic Director Tom Jurich announced that Strong would be leaving Louisville to become the next head coach at Texas.

“Boston Strong,” the phrase that rallied a city
How’d we find a unifying phrase so fast? It’s been evolving for years.

Where did the “X strong” trope come from? An early source is now shrouded in ignominy: “Livestrong,” the name of Lance Armstrong’s foundation intended to raise money for cancer survivors. While Armstrong and his charity endeavors have been discredited since his doping revelations, the yellow “Livestrong” wristbands were a huge philanthropic success story when they debuted a decade ago.
The “strong” element of “Livestrong” played off Armstrong’s last name, obviously, turning what is typically an adjective into a so-called flat adverb — that is, an adverb without the “-ly” ending. “Young people with cancer should be empowered to fight hard, dream big, and live strong,” Armstrong said in 2004.
Two years later, a very different “strong” slogan hit the scene. The Army, working with the New York ad agency McCann Erickson, rolled out its new recruiting slogan: “Army Strong.” (This replaced “An Army of One,” which in 2001 had replaced “Be All You Can Be.”)
